WHAT CHANGES ARE BEING MADE?
A timetable has been agreed for the complete re-organisation of all Ulsterbus services throughout Northern Ireland. This will involve the grouping, where possible, of all services into particular categories, such as:
Town services
Inter-Urban services
Key County services
Rural services
School services
The Coleraine area was the first to benefit from the Ulsterbus Strategic Review, April 2006, followed by Londonderry and Derry Citys new and improved services along with Limavady and Strabane in September 2006. The successful implementation has been well received by passengers and stakeholders. These new and improved services have resulted in passenger growth in all areas.
In November 2006, Omagh, Enniskillen and Dungannon new services were implemented. We are currently monitoring passenger figures but these have been well received so far.
COUNTY KEY ROUTES
Enhanced half hourly frequency between Portadown/Lurgan and Rushmere Shopping Centre and Craigavon Area Hospital (Mon - Sat)
Encompassing a new direct service between Lurgan and Portadown
Increased frequency and more regular services from Portadown to Armagh
GOLDLINE ENHANCEMENTS ALREADY IMPLEMENTED
250 Craigavon - Belfast
5 additional return journeys
increased Saturday frequency
