Proof of Age Card

Young Persons: a 50% reduction is available on local, Cross Border and cross channel fares for Young Persons up to the 30th June after their sixteenth birthday.  Between 16 and 21 years of age, the only concession available is on season tickets.

It is the passenger's responsibility to demonstrate at the time of ticket purchase, that they are entitled to the concession they claim.  Passengers unable to do so will be charged the full adult fare.

NI Railways will, upon completion of a Proof of Age Form, available from Main Stations, and on presentation of a birth certificate and passport sized photograph, issue a Proof of Age Card.  On production of the card the bearer will be able to obtain reduced fare tickets.  Up to two children under 5 years of age can travel free of charge, on services within Northern Ireland, when accompanied by an adult (16 years of age and over).
