Bicycles
Bicycles are carried free of charge if the bus has a boot and space is available. Fold-up bicycles can be carried at any time on-board the vehicle.
Carriage of Animals on Buses
The following categories of animals can be carried free of charge on Ulsterbus and Metro services.
Children Under Five
A charge shall not be made for children under the age of five years travelling in the company of a fare paying adult or SmartPass holder, provided that not more than two children be allowed to each fare paying passenger.
Prams
Children’s buggies/prams, when carried as passengers’ luggage, may, subject to accommodation being available, be carried free of charge provided they are folded.
Metro
Bicycles
No bicycles are permitted on board any Metro service.
Carriage of Animals on Buses

Prams
Children’s buggies/prams may, subject to accommodation being available, be carried free of charge, provided they are folded.
NIR
Bicycles
No charge will be made for the carriage of bicycles if space is available in the dedicated bicycle area. Bicycles will not be permitted on any morning peak service for local journeys.
Assistance Animals
Assistance Animals can be carried on board the train, provided they are kept on a leash. No other dogs or animals, unless in a carrier, can be accommodated. There is no charge for the carriage of blind and hearing dogs and animals placed in an appropriate carrier. The carrier must not be placed on a seat.
