About Ulsterbus

Ulsterbus was formed in April 1967 from the bus operation of the Ulster Transport Authority.  Ulsterbus is responsible for virtually all bus services in Northern Ireland except Belfast city services which are operated by Metro.

Ulsterbus currently has 20 main passenger facilities across Northern Ireland employing 1,250 drivers and operating approximately 1,100 buses.  In 2000/2001 over 46 million passenger journeys were recorded.

Information on all Ulsterbus services can be obtained from the easy to use Translink journey planner.  Alternatively, local Ulsterbus timetables are available free of charge from your local main bus or rail station.
