Coleraine is the main town on the Causeway Coast, situated on the banks of the River Bann, it boasts an attractive pedestrian area with award winning floral displays. Mountsandel Fort
Mountsandel Road, Coleraine
Mountsandel Fort is located just south of the town of Coleraine overlooking the River Bann at Castleroe. Mountsandel Fort dates back to the iron age and is beside the site of the first huntergatherer settlement in Ireland, dating from before 7000 BC. The forest walk goes from the high point at the fort to the banks of the Bann, and passes close to the weir at the Cutts.

North Coast Open Topper (Service 177) serving the Giant’s Causeway
The Open Topper operates a circular route from Coleraine Bus & Rail Centre, taking in Portstewart, Portrush, Bushmills, Portballintrae and the Giant’s Causeway (car park). The service operates during July and August 2007 and 2008. This novelty bus run continues to be a firm favourite with all the family. Weather permitting! Conventional bus operates in bad weather. Does not operate 12 July.

Why not buy a Hopper ticket and hop on and off the Open Topper as many times as you like, visiting all the attractions along the route.
River Bann Cruises
River Bann cruises, departing from Christie Park Jetty and Coleraine Marina are operated on board a 60-seater enclosed water bus, The Lady Sandel. 90 minute cruises either upstream or downstream depending on the river and the tidal conditions. Toilet and snack bar facilities on board. Private charter and/or longer cruises possible. Suitable for all ages and is ideal for groups.
Open: Easter-Sept: Sat & Sun 3pm – Christie Park July & August Mon –Fri 11am & 2pm from Christie Park and 7pm From Coleraine Marina.
