Translink has teamed up with the Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum to provide support during the annual Anti-Bullying Week.
The Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum (NIABF) has a membership of over twenty regional statutory and voluntary organisations all acting together to end bullying of children and young people. NIABF defines bullying as the repeated use of power by one or more persons intentionally to hurt, harm or adversely affect the rights and needs of another or others.
Anti-Bullying Week 2008 is being held between 17th – 21st November with the theme ‘tackling the fear of being bullied in a new school’. This is an opportunity for schools to raise general awareness about bullying with their pupils and to carry out a range of preventative activities during the week.
